SCAFELL PIKE (England) pinnacle of the English Lake District

SNOWDEN (Wales) mystical summit of the principality

BEN NEVIS (Scotland) training ground for UK Alpinists

SLIEVE DONARD (N Ireland)  home of the "Little People"

What is it about Mountains 

that is so so alluring ?

Their majesty ~ their loneliness

Their ruggedness ~ their peace

or the feeling of being nearer Heaven ? 

All Human Life is there ~ all nationalities

CHILDREN  getting their first glimpse and grip of rock

TEENS  fearless and keen to show off their skills

FAMILIES  enjoying the Mountains together

SERIOUS Fell walkers ~ SUICIDAL Rock climbers

GERIATRICS  making one last pilgrimage to their 

beloved Mountain Peaks ~ slowly but surely !

POTHOLERS ~ who climb down instead of up !

There is a MAGIC in the MOUNTAINS

and the TOPS offer much more excitement

and satisfaction than the average topless beach !

OUTSIDE INFLUENCES  which would interfere with their

RUMINATIONS  on things esoteric and meaningless ~ Would

YOU LIKE  to spend your life in an I V O R Y   T O W E R ?

TASTING LIFE  inside an Ivory Tower is a singular privilege

ONLY AVAILABLE  to the elite and very difficult to describe.

WE LIVED  ate and breathed inside the Tower and all our

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH  in Chemistry was ephemeral

RESEARCHING  making myriads of meaningless molecules !

DANCE OF THE CRYSTAL MOON FAIRIES

When you may ask did I see them

Where you may ask did I see them

You may so ask "Did you see them ?"

I am used to scepticism

Because only few are privileged

To enter the Crystal Moon Realm

And even fewer to have the

Capacity to see the Realm !

It was many eons ago

Inside the Sacred  Dimension

Of the Crystal Moon in a trance.

I know that I saw the Fairies

And I know that I saw them dance !

PANCAKES ~ SCRUMPTIOUS ! An Acrostic

P ANCAKES WITH MAPLE SYRUP ~ Perfect
A DDITION  to any meal. In my own experience
N OBODY  ever refused a pancake ~ fresh
C OOKED  off the griddle ~ hot and dripping
A BSOLUTE  treat at any time. A meal fit for a
K ING !  In the UK we have Pancake Tuesday
E VERY YEAR  in February but we eat them any time 
S O MAKE SURE you are getting your share of them !
